My Journey to Becoming an RD
I started running in college and soon realized how much nutrition influenced how I felt throughout the day and during my runs. As I paid more attention to what I was eating, I became curious about how nutrition might be affecting the people around me, too. While working at an exercise rehabilitation center, I found myself talking more and more with patients about their nutrition and how it impacted their recovery and overall health.
My Nutrition Philosophy
Food plays a fundamental role in our daily lives, and developing healthy habits around nutrition can significantly enhance our understanding of how to nourish the body effectively. When working with children, I recognize that eating behaviors can be selective; however, involving them in the decision-making process—such as meal planning or food preparation—can foster a sense of ownership and increase their enthusiasm for trying new foods.
Who I Work With
I work with children of all ages and enjoy helping families explore fresh, practical ways to think about food. My goal is to support the development of positive eating habits that can lay the groundwork for lifelong health and well-being.
My Style as a Dietitian
Clients often describe me as adaptable, supportive, and proactive. I aim to ensure that any strategies we put in place are practical, sustainable, and fit naturally into the child’s daily routine.
What You Can Expect from Working With Me
My goal is to help the client, and the family feel more supported when approaching meals.
